Rest in Peace "Grandpa John"

Some sad news...

Leanne's Grandfather passed away peacefully on Saturday morning surrounded by family. We made it that evening before just in time so be able to say goodbye and Leanne was able to be with her Mom at her time in need.

Hopefully the birth of the new baby with bring some welcomed happiness to the family in this time of grief.

Rick Mercer's Blog

Check out Rick Mercer's Blog if you get a chance. It has some really interesting yet comical posts that some of you may or may not find interesting. But we like him...he tells it like it is.
Plus, he is a HUGE supporter of the troops, so we like that!

Just a few more pictures...and a quick update.

Chayton jumping off his Mega Blocks bag.

He is really proud of himself!
And Again!
So, yes Leanne is still pregnant. As much as she wishes she wasn't. Things are progressing as they should be so we just have to wait and see when it happens. Sooner than later would be nice. We have all our "baby" stuff set up, just no baby to put in them!
Luckily though, they have finally figured out why she has been having such a difficult time breathing, and it is that her hemoglobin (Iron etc) is extremely low. Apparantly the onset of extreme anemia will cause severe shortness of breathe regardless of what you are doing. So we are now just waiting to hear back from the OB in Ottawa about some injections that can help bring it back up and finally let her breathe normally again. It would seem that she isn't able to absorb iron naturally again, which would bring back the injections she had in previous years on a regular basis. Pain in the butt, but has to be done.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that it works, and that the baby makes an appearance SOON!
Other than that, there isn't much to report.

Drost Christmas...

Baby Samuel and Leanne
(I forgot how small they are...eeeek!)
Beppe, Pake and "The Boys".
Our little boy didn't want to stay still for ANYONE that weekend.

For "Drost Christmas", Phil's wonderful parents rented an awesome cottage on Bark Lake in Barry's Bay! We had so much fun just hanging out with family...playing games and eating. And yes, we ATE! Too much on New Year's Eve! By the time midnight hit, we watched the countdown and we all rolled into bed, literally!
Chayton and Stephen had fun and were usual little kids. Chayton liked stealing Stephen's cup, and Stephen liked stealing Chayton's car and so on. Everyone elses things are always better! Chayton was really good with Samuel as well, he was really gentle and caring, especially when he cried. So lets hope he is the same way when our new baby arrives! Chayton also learned to say "Beppe!". He now says it all the time for everything! It is pretty funny.
Everyone was there, except for Jono who was busy driving back from B.C. Thankfully the weather was good for them and they made it back safely.
Thank you to everyone for the gifts, we really appreciate them all! Chayton is in heaven with all his books! And the new clothes will definetly come in handy!
{We should have more pictures coming...}

Boxing Day

Technically we did have snow on Christmas, it started at about 11:45 pm Christmas Day. This is what we woke up to...to think we just mowed the lawn! (Although there isn't any more snow AGAIN)

Mowing the lawn on Christmas Day!

More "Moore" Christmas...

Chayton opening his stocking...still in his church clothes from the night before!
He liked helping to hand out presents...here he is pretending he can read!
Gramma and Grampa looking tired, they haven't had an early Christmas like this in YEARS!
Chayton modelling his new chair Grampa made him.
Eating chocolate...again!
