Decorating for Christmas (Early, yes we know)

Leanne looking calm and collected ...
as she had the easy job of putting up stockings,
while Phil tried to find the burned out bulbs.
Chayton helping Daddy with the tree.
Our Tree (moved so that Chayton can't get at it)
Phil now looking visibly frustrated with the lights!

Quick Update...

There isn't really a whole lot to report around the Drost household. Chayton is growing like a weed. He likes tantrums, and to hear his own SCREAM! He likes to colour, once on every piece of paper we give him. If there is just one scribble on it...it is done. I suppose we need to teach him about recycling and waste reduction. If we ask him where Mommy's baby is, he smiles and points to himself. He did point at Leanne's belly at first, although maybe he realises what is happening.

Leanne is feeling tired, more so from Chayton being EVERYWHERE than being pregnant. She is ready for the baby to come now, it is just too bad that she has to wait another 77 days! Other than that, she is going crazy thinking of things we need for the baby as it is creeping up faster than we expected.

Phil is on course at work. Airbrakes 101. Ok, I am not sure if that is what it is called, but he is doing a refresher course about them. He was in Perth, ON for the Remembrance Day parade and says it was pretty memorable. He met a Korean War Veteran who wore his 1960's wool uniform to the parade. Last year he said that he would wear the uniform to this parade, and he lost 50 lbs to do so. Amazing! He also met some other older vets who apologized for not being able to do more for the guys who came there from Petawawa. Wow....that is amazing. Considering this is about them and their losses and contributions from the Great Wars. Brings tears to the eyes.

This February/March after Baby #2 is born, we are hoping to have a date set for a dbl baptism. For Chayton and the new baby. It will be here in Petawawa at the Catholic Church in CFB Petawawa. We have finally come to our decision about religion and other matters of such so we are able to proceed with the baptism. We will keep you posted on dates, as we still need to make arrangements with the Padre. So hopefully some of you are able to make it. And we will be speaking to some of you regarding becoming "God Parents" in the near future. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Catholic religion, those of you who accept this honour will have to take part in the baptism. (If that is ok) It doesn't mean you have to become Catholic. So don't worry.

We hope this finds everyone well...until next time....

Chayton and the Stair Mishap...

Chayton met the basement stairs, and lets just say they didn't get along. It was one of those moments where he got away and we didn't notice that split second. Poor kid, our basement stairs have sandpaper on the steps and well, now he knows what happens when you go down the stairs facefirst. It is all healed now, and Mommy was more upset that he was in the end.

Halloween

Candy...mmm
Daddy's Pumpkin

Chayton had a blast on Halloween. We went to about 5 or 6 houses and he loved it. I think he just liked being able to walk around semi-detached! We came back to hand out candy and he waved bye to all the Trick or Treaters. Very cute!
(Please excuse the finger printed lense....thanks Chayton)
